Image editor

Paint

Open a picture, draw on it, save it. A simple image editor that fits in one window.

Paint in its light theme. A web page mock-up is open on the canvas with a red ellipse and an arrow drawn over it. The tool palette runs down the left edge, the line tool's size and smoothing options sit in a bar along the top, and the colour swatches run across the bottom.
Light theme.
The same Paint window in its dark theme, showing the identical layout: menu bar, tool options bar, tool palette on the left, canvas in the middle and the colour swatches along the bottom.
Dark theme.

What it does

  • Draw. Pencil, brush, eraser, fill, text, lines, curves and shapes.
  • Select. Move, resize, delete, or crop to a selection.
  • Transform. Flip, rotate, resize, stretch and skew.
  • Undo. A deep history, not three steps.
  • Files. PNG, JPEG, BMP, GIF, TIFF and more.
  • Private. Works offline. No account, no telemetry.

Paint edits one flat image. Layers are not there yet.
